Shot to the Heart

Action

I developed a concept that merged classical Greek museum sculpture with pickleball culture, blending romance and sport into one cohesive visual world.

I art directed the shoot, using Greek-inspired statues and sculptural props to evoke a Valentine’s, mythic feel, while incorporating pickleball court lines within the backdrop to anchor it in sport. The contrast between refined marble textures and bold athletic graphics created a dynamic, ownable look.

Following the shoot, I executed the campaign across social and paid ads, ensuring the compositions translated effectively across placements while maintaining the elevated-yet-sporty tone.

Problem

For a DSG-exclusive Valentine’s Day bottle, we needed to balance two distinct ideas: a romantic, Greek-inspired aesthetic and a sport-forward tone that resonated with the DSG audience. The challenge was creating a photoshoot concept that clearly felt like Valentine’s Day, while still authentically tying into sport culture — without the visuals feeling disjointed or overly thematic.

Result

The final campaign successfully merged romance and sport in a way that felt fresh and unexpected for Valentine’s Day. The concept stood out within DSG’s retail environment while staying relevant to its athletic audience. The cohesive visual direction allowed the bottle to feel both giftable and performance-driven, expanding the brand’s seasonal storytelling into new territory.
